Georgia Coast (90 minutes)

The beautiful Georgia coast is within easy driving distance. Visit St. Simons Island for beaches, shopping, and the historic lighthouse. Jekyll Island offers pristine beaches and the fascinating Jekyll Island Club Historic District. Brunswick has excellent seafood restaurants and a charming downtown.

Valdosta (45 minutes)

Larger city with shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment options. Visit Wild Adventures Theme Park for roller coasters and water rides.

Stephen C. Foster State Park

Located on the western edge of the Okefenokee Swamp, this park offers camping, boat rentals, and guided tours deep into the swamp. It's one of the most remote and beautiful spots in Georgia.

Planning Tip: Gas stations can be sparse in rural areas. Fill up in Waycross before heading to remote destinations.
